hyperlink variables
« on: September 16, 2004, 07:52:33 AM »

Just a few questions on hyperlinks...
How do you set up the hyperlink variables? (e.g. content.php?page=1 ,  etc). Do they work on *.html pages, or do I need php?

I see these used on web pages all the time, and I was just wondering how they work, and what I would need (types of scripts, etc) if I was to set them up for my own site.

Hi Robbie ..
to make a hyperlink contain variables, simply write it in the html <a> tag !
e.g. <a href="content.html?page=1"> now you have a link with a variable in it ..

but to process the content of the variable, you need a scripting language like PHP, ASP or whatever ..
HTML can't do this alone..
